1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using PinPoint ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
PinPoint is a Slack-integrated video review tool that enables teams to leave timestamped, annotated feedback on videos shared in Slack channels. The Service consists of a Slack bot and a web-based video player.
3. User Accounts & Access
Access to the Service is provided through your Slack workspace. By installing the app, the workspace administrator grants PinPoint access to the required Slack API scopes. Individual users access the web player through time-limited, signed review links generated by the bot.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Upload or review content that violates intellectual property rights
- Attempt to access videos or data outside your authorized review links
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the Service
- Share review links with unauthorized individuals outside your team
5. Content Ownership
You retain all ownership rights to your videos, comments, and annotations. PinPoint does not claim any ownership over content submitted through the Service. We store only metadata and text comments — video files remain hosted on their original platform.
6. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any downtime or data loss.
7. Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PINPOINT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
8. Termination
You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by uninstalling the Slack app from your workspace. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these terms, with or without notice.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated through the Slack app or this page.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
